Dear course participants,
Welcome to the online course of the Virtual University of Bavaria "Anatomy and Physiology for Academic Health Professions I: Anatomical basics, thoracic organs and musculoskeletal system".

My name is Stefan Sesselmann. I am Professor of Digital Health at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences and a lecturer in orthopedics and trauma surgery at Erlangen University Hospital.
Interprofessional teaching and the use of digital media are very important to me.
Creating this course with our project partners at the Institute for Learning Innovation and the Institute for Functional and Clinical Anatomy at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg), as well as at the universities in Deggendorf, Landshut and Neu-Ulm, was a great pleasure for me. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my partners for the excellent cooperation. Special thanks also go to the supporting student assistants and staff.
