Find events | campo
Basically, there are different ways to get to the desired courses. You can search for courses via campo (see below) as well as via StudOn (see next page). In the end, however, registration always takes place via StudOn. In campo, a direct link to the course registration on StudOn is offered for the course (courses are represented as courses in StudOn).
On this page we explain how to find your courses in campo.
Instructions for registering exams can already be found on campo. It also shows the navigation in the study planner.
Usually you want to register for courses that are directly assigned to your study program. For this purpose, campo offers the study planner.
STEPS TO FIND THE RIGHT COURSE THROUGH CAMPO:
1. register in campo
Registration in campo: On www.campo.fau.de you use the input fields or the link to the Single Sign-On (SSO) and authenticate yourself with your FAU ID (scheme: ab12cdef; also found on your student ID).

2. call up study planner with module plan
Use the sandwich menu ≡ (top left) to go to "My studies > Study planner with module plan" to select your courses of study (e.g. two-subject bachelor) or your degree program.

3. select study program
Select the program of study for whose courses you wish to register.

4. display module plan
You will now see the representation according to the examination regulations. However, the view of the module plan is much clearer for the beginning. To do this, select "Show module plan".

It is best to select the semester for which you want to search for courses under "Dates". In the following module plan, the courses of the desired semester will be displayed directly under the various modules.
Some courses are only available in the summer or winter semester. Consider this accordingly when selecting a semester.
5. call link to StudOn course
You can now see your recommended study plan broken down by semester. Modules are marked with a green puzzle piece.
- (1) Select the blue ">" icon for the desired module whose event(s) you want to register for. The event(s) are marked by a book icon.
- (2) Click on the desired event
- (3) and select "Show details".

You will now see the basic data of the course. On the right you will find the corresponding link to the StudOn course.

Parallel groups are basically like courses that are mutually exclusive. Each course must have at least one parallel group. If there is only one parallel group, it corresponds to the course. If there are several parallel groups, groups are created in the StudOn course of the event. You can join only one of these groups directly, but if there are more than one you can be put on the waiting list. When you join a group, you are automatically removed from the waiting lists of the other parallel groups.
Please do not forget to select the correct semester if necessary.
You can also display the basic data of the event for past (and possibly future) semesters via the semester selection. However, registration is usually only possible for events in the current or next semester.
MORE TIPS FOR FINDING TEACHING EVENTS IN CAMPO:
In principle, in addition to the possibility described on the page "Find courses | campo" to search for courses specific to your study program (campo "Study planner with module plan"), there are also other ways to get to the desired course on campo.
This can be helpful for key qualifications, for example, as these are usually not explicitly assigned to your degree program and therefore do not appear in your module plan.
The search mask
If you know the name of the course or parts of it, you can select ≡ (top left) >> "Study offer>> Search events" via the sandwich menu to get to a search mask. There, select the desired semester and enter your search terms.
About the course catalog
If, for example, you know the chair where the desired course is held, you can use the sandwich menu ≡ (top left) >>"Study offer>> Search events" to get to a hierarchical overview of faculties, chairs, and departments and thus to all corresponding courses.
