Welcome, let us start with Medical Image Processing for Diagnostic Applications (MIDPA)!

In this introductory module, we want to tell you what the course is about. Then we show you the different modalities for medical imaging that not just allow us to view inside the human body and deliver the gross on data for research in medical imaging, but also imply problems that have to be dealt with in order to achieve good image quality w.r.t. clinical diagnostics.
Finally, we are going to discuss different types of medical imaging and thus define the scope of imaging methods that you can expect in this course.
