Tabs
A Blog is a chronologically ordered list of posts that can be published and read by other users. In addition to text, posts can include images, videos, and file attachments. Blogs primarily support collaborative and interactive teaching formats.
Functions
- Multiple users can collaborativelycreate and edit Blog posts. Each contributor can be assigned the role of "Blog Author" or "Blog Editor". Authors can only create and edit their own posts, while editors can modify all entries.
- Blogs can be shared with others for public commenting and rating.
- Keywords may be assigned to individual posts. Tags are displayed in the sidebar of the Blog as a navigation aid. Clicking a keyword filters the posts to show only those associated with that keyword.
- The Blog's notification function keeps users informed about the latest posts. To activate this, select "Activate Notification" from the blog's "Actions" menu.
Use Cases
- Blogs can be used as online learning diaries, to document learning progress, for self-reflection, or as platforms for sharing project or internship reports.
- Furthermore, Blogs can be used to share expertise and experiences.
- Blogs enable students to develop their creative writing skills and offer each other feedback on their posts.
- Lecturers can also use Blogs to inform students about current affairs and developments.
Example
You can find an example of a Blog in the StudOn-News. StudOn uses the Blog function to share information about new developments, adjustments, and updates with all StudOn users. StudOn News is also displayed on users' dashboards.
