Video Recording

DIY Slide Presentation
Do you already have slide presentations with which you can visualize the lecture of your course? Then you can easily create a slide presentation with sound in your own office or home office and make it available online. It is therefore particularly suitable for digitizing learning content quickly and easily.
You simply give your presentation as usual and record your voice and the screen of your notebook/PC with a software. Since no other image of you is recorded, the production is very uncomplicated. All you need for the production is a notebook/PC with recording software and an external microphone.
For recording, we recommend the software Camtasia - more information on campus licenses will be available after Easter. You can find the recommended microphone in the equipment list. You will find an explanation of the correct usage in this forum post.

DIY Educational Film
Would you like to guide through the film as a lecturer and make the recording yourself? Then you can create your own educational film with simple means. The easiest way is to record it with your own smartphone. You will find the equipment you need in addition to your smartphone in the equipment list, which we have compiled as a quick video production solution.
With this minimalist approach you are able to record your presentation in your office or home office independently. Don't be afraid of unusual settings and record yourself next to the TV set as a presentation surface or create a minimal blackboard on a drawing pad. Special situations require special means...
In keeping with the minimalist approach, we also recommend the software Camtasia for video editing - more information on campus licenses will be available after Easter. Make sure you get high quality sound here as well.

Lecture Capture
Do you create elaborate blackboard pictures in your course that are not based on digital presentations? Or do you work with other non-digital elements such as models or experimental setups?
Then the lecture recording is a suitable online format.
They hold their lectures as usual in the lecture hall or seminar room. You will be filmed by one or more cameras.
The recording is then made available via the FAU video portal and can also be integrated into a StudOn online course.
