Live Voting
The StudOn tool "LiveVoting" can be integrated into your PowerPoint presentation.

"LiveVoting" offers the possibility to get direct feedback from the students of an event. The questions are shown via beamer and the students can vote on them in real time via smartphone or tablet (internet connection required). The direct benefit is obvious: via mobile devices, otherwise passive listeners surprisingly participate very actively in the teaching process, as their input is asked directly.
  • Testing pre-knowledge, e.g. Flipped Classroom, introductory sessions.
  • Securing understanding, e.g. of complicated technical or medical procedures
  • Testing acceptance, e.g. of a theoretical model
  • Community building, e.g. by asking questions about student interests and personal backgrounds
  • Discussion initiation, e.g. by thematizing the voting result
  • Coordination and adjustment of content priorities and time management, e.g. through the organization and content design of block seminars
  • Evaluation
  • Attendance control (in case of non-anonymous use)
  • Anonymity
  • Recording of individual progress
  • Real-time feedback
  • Creation of interactive and entertaining teaching and learning scenarios
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Increased attention
  • Support for knowledge transfer
The realization of a voting can now be done directly from PowerPoint. For course instructors, lecturers and speakers, it is possible to activate the questions in PowerPoint and show the results. The integration works very well with the help of the free software "Poll Everywhere".
