Welcome to the FAU

Dear Students,

Thank you for your interest in our online courses. You will find all the courses you registered for in your home country on this platform.
Since the FAU-help project was created at such short notice, some of the courses are still a work in progress and may lack content. We will make every effort to have the courses completed by the official start date. Thank you for your understanding.

Enrollment

The Course enrollment is easy: just click on the courses that you registered through your home university and enrol yourself (you received detailed information about how to register attached to our welcome e-mail. After successful self-enrollment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail by the StudOn system. If you encounter any difficulties enrolling in your course, please contact us. (see contact)

Within the courses, you find all necessary information about course structure and dates (for assessment information -> please read the next section).

Please note that some of the courses have a cap on the number of participants (e.g., course "labor economics"). For these courses you cannot enrol by yourself, but need to wait for a confirmation e-mail from us telling you that your registration was successful. If you received a negative response, we will, however, still try to find a way to either enrol you in the course you applied for. Otherwise you can still enrol yourself to another FAU Course.

Course assessment dates and task types may vary. Final assessments are scheduled to take place at the end of January or February 2023 – eventually earlier or later for a number of courses. There are different types of assessments and tasks that may require being adapted to an online assessment version. Course instructors will advise us about the best possible solutions for these final online assessments. Once we have this information, we will inform you about the date, time and assessment format.

Courses

Here you can find the available courses for Bachelor or Master students in the field of economics and study skills. The courses "R and R studio" ,"Living and studying in Germany" and "Academic English" are available for both, Bachelor and Master students, and therefore added in an extra folder at the bottom of the page.
As a Bachelor student, please do not enrol in Master courses in the field of economics. Thank you!

Courses marked with * are offered not by FAU but vhb (virtual higher educational institution bavaria). When clicking on these courses you will be redirected to the vhb-website (vhb.org) where you need to register with your e-mail address. You will find a detailed description about how to register within the corresponding courses.
