Registration in StudOn

This is how you register with StudOn:
  1. First you have to activate your user ID in the IdM portal. You can find your IdM ID (FAU user ID) and the activation password in the information letter from the Student Records Office. The IdM ID is also noted on your student ID card (FAUcard).
    You can activate your IdM ID and choose a new password at https://www.idm.fau.de/index_en.html.
  2. Go to the StudOn homepage at www.studon.fau.de. Click on the door symbol at the top right.
  3. Click on the "Login" button under "Single Sign-On Login to StudOn".
  4. You will then be redirected to FAU's central registration service, where you can enter your IdM ID.
  5. Click on "Register". You will then be automatically redirected back to StudOn and must now accept the user agreement. You will then be taken to your dashboard, your personal area in StudOn.

If you have problems logging in via Single Sign-On, follow the instructions and flowchart on this page.
Please note: If you are new to FAU, logging into StudOn may not work immediately because you are not yet fully affiliated with FAU and therefore cannot yet use services such as StudOn. In this case, please be patient until your affiliation is entered in IdM and contact the student administration if you have any questions about the status of your enrollment. To unsubscribe from a course go to "Dashboard" or "Personal Workspace" , then to "My Courses and Groups" and click on the Action menu on the right hand side (blue square with white arrow). Select "Unsubscribe from course".
 
Alternatively, you can unsubscribe from within the course by clicking on "Unsubscribe from course" and confirming.
