FAU has acquired a full package license of the videoconferencing tool ZOOM with 6500 employee and 40000 student licenses for an initial period of one year. Virtual meetings and webinars can now be held with it. All information about installation and use can be found on the page ZOOM Meetings at RRZE.

Attention: Due to the current situation and the enormous number of accesses to Adobe Connect, the DFN servers are heavily overloaded. At the moment webinars can hardly be realized via this service. We are working hard to improve the infrastructure and we are confident that an improvement will occur by the start of the summer semester.
Until the situation has improved, we recommend switching to alternatives. There are basically two possibilities:
  • Use of alternative webinar tools
  • Integration of other tools for interaction via StudOn

Eyeson is a platform that offers a simple and fast solution for the provision of webinars, video conferences or virtual classrooms. We have briefly summarised the advantages of the system for you:
  • No installation: you do not need to download and install any software
  • Access via the browser: Eyeson can be accessed directly via (almost) any browser
  • No registration: Participants simply call up the link to the meeting and can easily join the meeting as a guest without registration
  • Easy handling: Eyeson allows the integration of many webinar tools without much previous knowledge
  • Stable connection: Thanks to the innovative single-stream technology, a comparatively stable connection can be guaranteed for all participants
We have put together a short guide for you to carry out video conferences with Eyeson. It contains all the necessary information from the first steps in the software and hardware aspects to the digital implementation of your course.
